FAMILY Fortunes has seen its fair share of hosts throughout the years. 

From the beginning in 1980 to the reboot in 2020, here's who has hosted the show over the years.

 Who presents Family Fortunes?

Celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo is the game show's latest host since the reboot in June 2020.

Gino is a familiar TV face appearing on This Morning, and took part intravel series Gordon, Gino And Fred's Road Trip with fellow chefs Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix.

In the past he has presented several cooking shows such as There’s No Taste Like Home and Let’s Do Lunch and was crowned the 2009 winner of the ninth series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

Over the years he has gained a reputation as a cheeky and lovable presence on TV.

D’Acampo has been married to his teenage sweetheart Jessica for almost 20 years.

The couple have three children together with the eldest Luciano being born in 2002.

Who has previously presented family Fortunes?

Bob Monkhouse

Entertainer and comedian Bob Monkhouse was the first host of Family Fortunes from 1980-83.

He also hosted The Golden Shot, Celebrity Squares and Wipeout.

The comedian was one of Britain’s most popular hosts with a career that succeeded over four decades.

The star passed away in 2003 aged 75 from prostate cancer.

Max Bygraves

Max Bygraves took over from Bob in 1983 and hosted the show until 1985.

Max appeared in movies such as Charley Moon (1956), Spare the Rod (1961) and Bless ‘Em All (1949) and made twenty Royal Variety performance appearances.

Bygraves was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2010, and died from the complications of this illness in 2012.

Les Dennis

Comedian Les Dennis hosted the show after it had a quick break and returned back in 1987.

It remained on air for the next 15 years until 2002 when he decided to quit.

The Liverpudlian, who was famously married to Amanda Holden, has also acted in many shows including Coronation Street, Extras and Life's Too Short.

He had his own show, The Les Dennis Laughter Show, from 1987-1991, after success in The Laughter Show with comedy partner Dustin Gee who tragically died in January 1986.

Andy Collins

TV and radio personality Andy Collins took over the show briefly as it turned into a daily daytime show in 2002.

Collins now presents the breakfast show on BBC Three Counties Radio.

The show has been in hiatus until its revival under Gino in 2020.

Vernon Kay

Vernon Kay may not have hosted the standard version of Family Fortunes but he did front a celebrity revival of the show called All Star Family Fortunes, which started in 2006 and ended in 2015 after its eleventh series.

Celebs brought on their own families to win money for a charity of their choice.

Vernon started out as a model modelling before launching his TV career.

His first role was co-hosting teen-entertainment shows on T4 and Channel 4 which then landed him the job of being the main host for TV shows such as Celebrities Under Pressure and Vernon Kay’s Gameshow Marathon, taking over from Ant and Dec in 2007.

It was announced in March 2021 that Vernon will be hosting the British version of the new game show Game Of Talents.
