We'll need to wait a little longer to find out who will live to tell the tale, when Corrie's Super Soap Week – dubbed Horrornation Street – is over.
The soap's producer Iain McLeod has teased that there will be at least one fatality and lives will be changed forever by the dramatic scenes which started on Monday night, as Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney)'s Halloween festivities got underway, while a torrential storm started to wreak havoc.
But when Coronation Street tweeted a GIF of escaped drug lord Harvey (Will Mellor) climbing out of the prison truck to freedom, Jane Danson took the opportunity to add a cheeky comment suggesting that Harvey's return to Weatherfield would spell her demise – sending fans into a frenzy!
Alongside the dramatic images of Harvey's escape, Jane, who joined Coronation Street in 1997, posted
Well, it's been an incredible 24 years…
As Monday's second episode ended, Jane's character Leanne had just discovered to her horror that she was alone in the Bistro with the crazed criminal she put behind bars. And he wasn't back to join in pumpkin carving. But was Jane's tweet a clue to what's to come, or was she playing her own trick on the Street's loyal fans?
Some fans showed concern, with comments like: "Wait does this mean you're leaving?" and "You better not be going anywhere!"
Others seemed angry with the actress – who is married to former Coronation Street and Emmerdale star Robert Beck – suggesting that she'd given away what is to come.
"OMG! Spoiler alert!" said one fan. Another fumed, "Don't you just love it, when the actor involved ruins the storyline before it's even been aired? Me too."
Of course aside from Jane's tweet, there are plenty of names in the frame when it comes to working out who will perish during the week of stunt-filled drama.
Fans know that Abi (Sally Carman) had a gun, and a plan to make Corey (Maximum Evans) pay for killing Seb. But last we saw of them, the pair had fallen into a sewer, and crucially the gun was out of her hands. Publicity shots show Corey with the upper hand, but will there be a twist in the tale?
Meanwhile we've seen Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) pull daughter Asha (Tanisha Gorey) from the wreckage of their crashed car – only for it to burst into flames with son Aadi (Adam Hussain) still inside.
Will the Weatherfield shopkeeper be left mourning one twin having chosen to save the other?
Fans have also been pondering whether plans to quit the Street for Bali, could be a tragic precursor to Johnny Connor's death, as he tries to save wife Jenny from the sinkhole…
But when it comes to Leanne's fate, our money is on Ms Battersby surviving this menacing visit from her nemesis. She's overcome no end of adversity in two decades on the Street, including kidnap, drug issues, prostitution and blackmail. Harvey might be one of the show's best ever baddies. But we reckon Leanne will be ringing in the New Year in the Rovers…
