Friends legends Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry reunited for a spot of lunch and honestly, we’re jealous we weren’t there with them.
The Monica Geller and Chandler Bing stars got together for a catch-up without the rest of the crew and Courteney shared a selfie of their little rendezvous to keep us updated on Matthew’s movements.
Can he just do a Jennifer Aniston and finally join Instagram already?
‘Guess who I had lunch with today….I KNOW!! Could I BE any happier? #realfriends,’ Courteney captioned the picture.
Their Friends co-stars couldn’t get enough of the snap and both Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer shared comments.
‘MATTY!!’ Jennifer screamed, followed by three red love heart emojis, ‘I LOVE YOU, GUYS.’
Meanwhile, Lisa quipped: ‘Lucky lucky. #beautifulpeople.’
Unsurprisingly, fans had a lot of questions: How are the twins doing? Will there be a Friends reboot? What do they make of The Morning Show? When are they seeing each other again and can we come too?
Jennifer recently appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to casually announce that the team are ‘working on something’ together for the first time in 15 years. But don’t hold your breath for a reboot.
Showrunner Marta Kauffman ruled out reviving the show last month and told a Friends 25th anniversary panel at Tribeca TV Festival (via Deadline): ‘We will not be doing a reunion show, we will not be doing a reboot.
‘The show was about that time in life when friends are your family.’
On the subject of a reboot, she added: ‘It’s not going to beat what we did.’
However, if the show did make a return to television screens then it’s likely Fat Monica would too be making a comeback.
Talking about whether Monica’s fat suit would make an appearance if the comedy was remade, costume designer Debra McGuire told us: ‘Yes, I do [believe it would].
‘I think it’s pretty poignant to have someone who was so overweight and conquered that part of themselves.’
Friends is available to stream on Netflix in the UK.
