The 35-year-old CBeebies and The Only Way is Essex star is set for a stint in this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and will no doubt bring her laid back manner to the ITV set. Fletcher, who is married to McFly star Tom, has become a major favourite with podcast fans after creating the informative Happy Mum, Happy Baby series, which explores people’s experiences as parents. And she managed to shock the podcast world by securing an interview with the Duchess of Cambridge, who spoke fondly of her children, and the challenges she had faced as a mother.
Reflecting on her bombshell interview with the future Queen consort, Fletcher admitted being surprised by how informal and chatty the 38-year-old was.
She said: “It’s such a privilege to actually be there, actually chatting about motherhood and not feeling like I’m talking to someone in the Royal Family.
“I’ve never heard her speak in that way before. You’re hearing her be self-deprecating, that laughter, the way that she talks about her husband, about her children, about her childhood.
“There’s that playfulness in her voice.”
Fletcher and Kate chatted after meeting children in a nursery, and a hilarious moment where a young girl kept telling the Duchess her name was Peppa Pig helped break the ice.
Reflecting on a poignant moment when Kate discussed how she enjoyed the simple pleasures of watching her children, including Princess Charlotte smelling a bluebell, Fletcher added during a chat with Good Morning Australia this year: “I think when you speak to her, there is that sense of duty, but in such a way that she loves it.
“So many parents can relate to those moments where the best times, the ones that really sit with you, are the ones that just happen spontaneously on their own.”
During the podcast, which was released in the spring, Kate opened up about her experience of feeling “mummy guilt”, claiming everyone had experienced it as a mother.

She said that “anyone who doesn’t as a mother is lying”, adding: “There’s such a pull, but I am such a hands-on mum, and whatever you’re doing you want to make sure you’re doing the uttermost best job you can for your children.”
The interview saw her star, and podcast, hit the headlines, and fans of I’m A Celeb are hopeful the broadcaster and actor will spill more secrets of her interview with Kate.
