Good Morning Britain bosses have confirmed that Susanna Reid will not be on the hit ITV show all week after is has been suggested she is starring on The Masked Dancer.
The 50-year-old is taking half term off from presenting duties as she usually does, but her absence is adding to speculation she is competing on the hidden identity dance show.
When the series kicked off on Saturday night, the panel – Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Oti Mabuse and Jonathan Ross – guessed the Knickerbocker Glory character could be Susanna.
Strictly Come Dancing star Oti said of the ice cream's clue package: "This is someone at the seaside and on the board, it said 'live', so I thought, 'Ooh, this is someone who works on live TV."
"And then you said something about 'the big scoop', so then that took my brain to journalist. I had Susanna Reid."
Other guesses from the panel were Mary Berry, Baga Chipz, Alan Carr and Amanda Holden.
The guesses were picked up by guest entertainment reporter Will Njobvu on Monday morning, as he said to Sean Fletcher: "As you can imagine, Twitter has gone mad with speculations as fans try and guess who else could be underneath those masks and costumes.
"Some people are saying that maybe TV personality Zoe Ball could be the celeb behind the llama costume and others are certain that another star with Strictly connections, Maisie Smith, could be squirrel."
Will continued: "But do you know what, I’ve been thinking, I’ve been connecting the dots this morning.
"Could GMB's very own Susanna Reid be behind one of the masks? Look I'm onto something here. Oti even thinks it's her after speculating that Knickerbocker Glory was a journalist because the word 'scoop' was mentioned in the dancer's VT.

"Now it could even be Charlotte Hawkins actually. What do you think Sean?"
Sean replied: "Well, Susanna's not in all week so who knows? It could be that…"
The Masked Dancer has already unmasked two celebrities in the form of Diversity star Jordan Banjo and singer Louise Redknapp, who were disguised as Viper and Flamingo respectively.
When asked why he decided to compete, Jordan explained: "For the past 12 months, everyone has just been in a place where it hasn't been fun. Something like The Masked Dancer, dressing up stupid and dancing is fun. Let's just have some fun man."
Meanwhile, Louise told host Joel Dommett: "I love dancing and I think after such a tough year living in lockdown, I just thought I really need to get out of the house and do something fun. It's been great!"
The Masked Dancer continues weeknights at 7:30pm and Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am, both on ITV.
