HOLLY Willoughby will be breaking a 40-year tradition this Christmas as the This Morning host spends the festive period away from her sister.
New Tier 4 coronavirus regulations – imposed on London and some of the south east this weekend – mean Holly, her husband Dan Baldwin and their three kids are unable to leave their home in the capital – while those living in other tiers are not allowed to cross the boundary.

They also stipulate household bubbles cannot mix – putting a sad stop to their traditional winter-time gatherings.
The ITV presenter's look-a-like big sister, Kelly, dubbed the situation as "beyond heartbreaking" in an emotional message posted to her Instagram page.
She wrote alongside a beaming snap showing the siblings together: "So sad I can’t be with my @hollywilloughby for the first time in 40 years.
“Thinking of everyone who can’t be with their favourite people this Christmas. It's beyond heartbreaking. Do something now to try and keep your head straight. I can’t knit for toffee but giving it a bloody go.
"Oh and have cracked open the Christmas booze…and on second tub of choc."
Kelly, who works as a children's writer, has often been spotted alongside her sibling at glitzy showbiz events.
While Holly has not publicly posted a reply to her emotional message, she did confess to starting her day with Kate Bush track Running Up That Hill, and revealed: "It helped."
In a former interview with the Guardian, Holly said of her sister: “We’re more like friends than sisters. We even bought a place together in Putney.
"You would expect some fireworks, but because we have the same friends and have different roles within that group, none of that ever came into it.
“I’m more likely to be the one to say, 'everyone back to mine' and cook for everyone, whereas she’s much better at tidying up.”
In February, we reported how Kelly shared a cute throwback picture of Holly to mark her 39th birthday.
Holly also publicly told Kelly "I miss you so much" after sharing an Easter poem written by her sibling during the initial coronavirus lockdown this spring, which again forced the pair apart.
The This Morning star described the piece as “beautiful” before going on to tell Kelly how much she missed her.
The poem – titled ‘Easter Lament’ – began with the words: 'It's tinged with sadness, this funny Easter day, As I gaze out from my sofa and wipe a tear away.
'Thoughts of grief and suffering, make my heart beat slow and heavy, It's a menial task to stay at home, but means so much to many.
Holly commented: "Awww Kelly… so beautiful… misss you all so so much", before sharing the post to her Instagram story.
