HOLLYOAKS star Hollie-Jay Bowes landed a role in the new series of Cold Feet.
The 30-year-old star played Michaela McQueen in the Channel 4 soap but was sacked a decade ago after a bust-up with producers.
The actress made her debut in last night's episode of the show, playing one of Adam [James Nesbitt]'s colleagues – who he enjoyed a light-hearted conversation about porn with, landing him in trouble.
And Hollie has confirmed that there is more from Sophie to come in the rest of the series, sharing a picture of her script for episode two on Instagram.
Snapped during what appeared to be the cast's table read-through, the blonde beauty simply captioned the post: "Ta for having me".
Hollie-Jay was the first member of the infamous McQueen family to be introduced to Hollyoaks back in 2006.
After four successful years, she got into trouble with bosses and was speedily written out of the show.
The actress clashed with then-new producer Paul Marquess by questioning her character's storylines before kicking off when she was dropped from the show’s spin-off series, Hollyoaks Later.
Soon after the run-in, Hollie took to social media to announce that she was leaving the show, tweeting at the time: "These past four years have been incredible but I think its time to find myself again! I'm officially leaving Hollyoaks in the next six months!"
However, programme bosses were so angry at her behaviour they called on story-writers to pen the character's exit plot for an abrupt end.
A source told Digital Spy: "Hollie overstepped the mark – Paul didn't even know that she wanted to leave, so everybody was stunned when she announced her intentions on the internet.
"She also annoyed storyliners by confirming tabloid reports of an alien storyline on Twitter, too."
