Wednesday, the eagerly anticipated comedy-drama that derives from the world of The Addams Family, landed on Netflix earlier this week. Starring Jenna Ortega as the titular character, Wednesday follows the deeply disturbed teenager as she starts afresh at Nevermore Academy. While there, she grows used to her new surroundings and gets to know some of the locals, including coffee shop worker Tyler (played by Hunter Doohan).

How old is Wednesday actor Hunter Doohan?

Wednesday’s Tyler Galpin is played by actor Hunter Doohan who was born on January 19, 1994, making him 28 years old.

He is a lot older than his co-star and leading lady Ortega, from Coachella Valley, California, who is just 20.

Similarly, Wednesday’s Nevermore Academy roommate Enid Sinclair actress Emma Myers is also 20, as well as classmate Ajax Petropolus actor George Farmer.

Doohan is the eldest of the actors portraying teenagers in the Netflix black comedy.

The Wednesday actor has been in the entertainment industry since the age of 18, appearing in a number of shorts in 2012.

He was later featured in the Coffee House Chronicles, Dirty Bomb, Westworld, Cagney and Lacey, Where We Disappear and What/If.

His biggest role to date though has been in Showtime’s Bryan Cranston drama, Your Honor.

Doohan is behind Adam Desiato, judge Michael Disato’s (Bryan Cranston) son.

Fans were left stunned by the ending of Wednesday as Tyler’s true identity was revealed.

When the series started, he was the shy teen who Wednesday met at a coffee shop when she was being harassed by some locals.

He was willing to stick up for her but, of course, she didn’t need the help, putting her skills in Kung Fu to good use.

The pair became good friends with Tyler developing a crush on Wednesday and her having a small soft spot for him too.

But everything changed when it came out that Tyler was actually the Hyde Monster.

He was the one to have tried to hurt Wednesday when he was in his monstrous state.

Having inherited this condition from his mum who sadly passed away years prior, he had always resisted his impulses.

This was until Laurel Gates (Christina Ricci) got involved, capturing Tyler, tying him in a cave for days and injecting him with chemicals so that he would do as she said.

Wednesday hasn’t yet been renewed for a second season but if there were to be another series, Tyler will be expected to return.

Given how well the drama has gone down with subscribers, it does seem likely there will be another season on the horizon.

So could Tyler return to everyday life after the events of series one or will his devastating condition wreck his future?

Wednesday is available to watch on Netflix.
