Nigel Farage has made it to the final five of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and at some stage this week will be reunited with his girlfriend, who is 15 years his junior.

The former politician, 59, has been a controversial contestant taking part in the hit ITV show but has remained in the jungle just days before the final on Sunday, 10 December. When his exit comes, Nigel is thought to be greeted at the end of the iconic rope bridge by his French politician girlfriend Laure Ferrari, 44.

Nigel is said to have been dating Laure since 2017, but the pair never went public with their relationship. That was until Laure joined part of the friend and family group of the I'm A Celeb stars who are staying Down Under supporting their loved ones.

This essentially confirmed their relationship after being linked together "for years". During her time Down Under, Laure has been spotted heading out on a shopping spree and taking a dip in the sea, making the most of the sunny weather.

Last month, a source told The Sun: "Nigel and Laure have been linked for years, ever since she first moved into his house in Chelsea and was seen taking the bins out.

"Nigel has never confirmed the nature of their relationship and is incredibly private about his family life but there was a feeling if there was ever a time to open that door, it was now.

"It felt like a huge step for Matt Hancock to invite his controversial girlfriend Gina Coladangelo out to Oz last year but the move proved to be a PR masterclass and somewhat helped towards his redemption after their lockdown-busting affair".

Laure Ferrari

Laure, who is 15 years Nigel's junior, first met the politician in 2007 when she was working as a waitress in Strasbourg. Nigel, who was 28 years old at the time, then appointed Laure as a parliamentary assistant in charge of environmental issues in the UK – it was her first job in politics.

She went on to become PR director of Nigel's parliamentary group Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy in 2009, before working for the French nationalist party. Nigel and Laure were first linked in 2017 after she reportedly moved into his £4 million Georgian home in Chelsea and was spotted taking the bins out.

At the time the politician slammed claims of an affair as "crackers" as he had recently announced his split from his wife of 18 years, Kirsten Mehr. He also insisted it was a "working relationship".

He previously told Mail on Sunday: "She is someone I have worked with and known for a long time who wanted somewhere to stay for a week that wouldn't cost her any money.

"It's a working relationship. You can inflate it however you want to." According to Nigel, Laure was living with him at the time as she needed somewhere to stay.

Kirsten Mehr

In the same month of February 2017, ex-wife Kristen, whom he shares two daughters with, said they had been living "separate lives for some years" and Nigel had moved out of their family home in Kent. She said at the time: "My husband and I have lived separate lives for some years and he moved out of the family home a while ago.

"This is a situation that suits everyone and is not news to any of the people involved."

Kirsten and Nigel tied the knot in 1999 after they are thought to have met in Frankfurt, Germany in 1996. The couple had two daughters together, Victoria, 23, and Isabelle, 18.

Gráinne Hayes

Nigel also has two more children with his first wife Gráinne Hayes. The pair met when they were both in their early twenties when she treated him in hospital after he was run over by a car in November 1985.

He told the Telegraph in 2015: "My recovery was a miserable period: I was put on traction – a series of pulleys and weights – but the treatment saved my leg.

"It put paid to any more golf – but I married the nurse who treated me. A cliché, I know, but not only did I get my life back, I got a wife and two fantastic sons."

The couple got married in 1988 and had two sons, Sam, 34 and Tom, 32. After being together for a decade they got divorced in 1997.
