OSCAR winner and globally renowned actor Russell Crowe has appeared in over 50 films.

Russell Crowe began his career on Australian network TV, which included a stint on beloved soap Neighbours.

Is Russell Crowe returning to Neighbours?

The Gladiator star appeared on the long-running soap in the 80s and questions arose as to whether he would return for the Neighbours finale.

Many famous faces are returning for the farewell episode, including Margot Robbie, Kylie Minogue, and Jason Donovan.

Crowe has not been billed as one of the stars setting foot one last time on Ramsey Street.

Neighbours launched the career of many Australian actors and actresses, such as Marvel heavyweight Chris Hemsworth, who starred alongside Crowe in the latest Thor film.

With so many big names to chose from, some with more minor roles are not thought to join in on the Ramsey Street fun.

That being said, there could be some surprises in store so tune in to see the finale.
