I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! winner Sam Thompson has shared the sweet voice note he left for new best mate Tony Bellew as he tries to keep their bromance alive.

Sam's clip on his Instagram Stories includes his girlfriend Zara McDermott speechless and laughing as she records him leaving the message to check in with boxer Tony.

The new King of the Jungle, 31, and runner-up Tony, 41, grew close during their time in camp in Australia and their affection for each other clearly wasn't just a holiday fling as they have exchanged messages since arriving back in the UK.

Sam's video shows him walking around an apartment as he speaks into his phone to update Tony on how he is doing since leaving the jungle.

He says: "I slept really, really well last night, I slept 9pm to 8am so I got loads and loads of hours on me which is great.

"Don't feel obliged to reply to this voicenote with a voicenote, you can text me instead."

This isn't the first time Sam has contacted Tony since the show ended – on Thursday night he posted a series of photos of them together and wrote: "Missing the big guy already. T-Bone for short….or T-Bag if he’s feeling Particularly villainous (he wasn’t a fan of that one) need to update you on so much mate!"

Tony seems equally keen on staying in touch with Sam, as on Thursday he told his Instagram followers: "I'm over the moon, I can't believe I got as far as I did.

Speaking to the camera – with his jungle beard still visible – he said: "Sam, you was amazing lad, no-one deserved it more".

Writing alongside the video, the boxer commented: "I’m back! Just a post to say I’m back from an amazing adventure for me and my family! Met some lifelong friends and made some remarkable memories and some I would rather forget!! Massive thanks to my campmates, everyone involved @itv @imacelebrity and even those two @antanddec who seemed to thrive in my misery!

"Finally a huge thank you to everyone who supported me and who took time to vote for me to stay in that jungle and congrats @samthompsonuk a deserved winner!"

The pair formed a close bond in camp and stayed together all the way to the final, along with third place contestant Nigel Farage.

Sam's usual best pal Pete Wicks flew out to Australia to greet him when he left the jungle as Zara had to stay at home for rehearsals for the Strictly Come Dancing final.

But Sam and Zara enjoyed an emotional reunion at Heathrow Airport on Wednesday where they hugged and kissed as Zara welcomed the reality TV winner home with a balloon bouquet.
