JESY NELSON’S exes may want to brace themselves for her debut album next year.

I can reveal the former Little Mix singer has written a series of heartfelt ballads about her doomed love life following a string of failed romances, including with Love Islander Chris Hughes, Our Girl actor Sean Sagar and former pop star Jake Roche.

I have already heard one song, Heartbreak Hotel, in which she touches on the feeling of being left without love once again. In it, Jesy sings: “Sorry that you’re back so soon, it’s OK, we have been expecting you.”

A second, stripped-back track hears her pine for an ex in an open letter. Lyrics include: “Did you take her to the place where you told me that you loved me?”

Thankfully, the songs sound more likely to please fans than her controversial debut solo single Boyz did last month.

An insider said: “Jesy has been writing and recording all year and is really proud of her music. So far about five songs have been completed and they are a mixture of ballads and pop hits.

Club banger

“She doesn’t live in a bubble and is aware of how divisive Boyz was but it’s making her more determined than ever to make the next single perfect.

“The current plan is that neither of the ballads will be the second single, but the hope is that she will drop her next track at the end of January.”

After making her debut solo performance on Graham Norton's show last week, Jesy will play two more events — Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball in London and Free Radio Hits Live in Birmingham — in the coming weeks.

Boyz really wasn’t my kind of track but I’d love to see Jesy return in the New Year with a club banger and the kind of solid vocals she showed in Little Mix over the past decade.

SUN, SEA, CAM

CAMILA CABELLO looked like she was Havana ball on holiday in Miami.

The former Fifth Harmony star kissed her singer boyfriend Shawn Mendes by the sea as they enjoyed a day on the beach.

Camila had all eyes on her in a blue, thong bikini and was seen walking through the surf alongside other holidaymakers.

Canadian superstar Shawn looked at home in the water and went for a dip before joining Camila for a sunbathing session.

The couple started dating in the summer of 2019, after working on their hit track Senorita.

At the time some fans accused the pair of faking their relationship to promote the single but, two years on, I think it’s pretty obvious these two are smitten. And after seeing these snaps of Camila, it’s clear Shawn is one lucky man.

X-PECT A CRASH

CHARLI XCX says her album Crash will be out on March 18 2022, with a European tour due to kick off next May.

The record will feature her recent single Good Ones and the song she released last night, New Shapes, featuring Caroline Polachek and Christine and the Queens.

Other new music sees Mariah Carey kick off the festive season today with Fall In Love At Christmas, featuring Khalid and gospel icon Kirk Franklin.

ABBA have returned with their album Voyage today while Travis Scott teased last night that he would also be putting out tunes soon.

JO SOLO JITTERS

S CLUB 7 star Jo O'Meara is used to having half a dozen bandmates performing alongside her, so it was understandable she was nervous at her first-ever solo headline show.

The singer performed at the Hippodrome Casino in central London’s Leicester Square following the release of her new album With Love.

Jo told Wednesday’s crowd: “I have never been as nervous in my life as I am tonight.

But this has been my dream for so many years.”

ROCK’S MOVIE GUN BAN

DWAYNE “THE ROCK” Johnson has banned real guns from his production company’s film sets.

He took the decision after Alec Baldwin accidentally killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust last month.

Dwayne – star of the Fast & Furious franchise and Jumanji – said: “Any movie we have moving forward with Seven Bucks Productions – any movie, any television show or anything we do or produce – we won’t use real guns.

“We’re going to switch to rubber guns and take care of it in post (production). We won’t worry about what it costs.”

IT’S BLUE MURDER

SHE is supporting STEPS on their What The Future Holds tour and in their honour, Sophie Ellis Bextor showed off her own Deeper Shade Of Blue.

The Murder On The Dancefloor singer put on this bright cobalt-coloured dress with a pair of matching glittery heels for the show at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham.

Steps, made up of Claire Richards, Lee Latchford-Evans, Faye Tozer, Ian 'H' Watkins and Lisa Scott-Lee, hit the road this week.

They will travel across the UK with Sophie for a further 16 dates, including playing the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham tonight.

I can’t say they are my cup of tea, but I’ve got to hand it to them, they’ve done well to still be playing arenas after almost 25 years.

MARVIN NEEDS A JL-REST

PREMIER League stars have nothing on Marvin Humes, who reckons his gigs with JLS are way more exhausting than a high-octane game.

Marvin, who is married to Rochelle Humes, says rehearsals for the band’s UK reunion tour were so gruelling they left him in physical pain.

He said: “I’ve been absolutely battered the past week. When we were in production rehearsals, we did 11 shows in four days – and I am the oldest in the band. I go to the gym and keep myself in shape but the stamina needed is like playing three football matches.”

He added on Jamie Laing's Private Parts podcast: “I take the longest to pick up routines and in the end I had to have knee and ankle support. It was bad but it is like pre-season – you train for four weeks, then the first match is the first show.”

Marvin, insert, will get a short break once he and bandmates JB Gill, Aston Merrygold and Oritse Williams wrap up their tour before playing Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball on December 12, alongside Ed Sheeran and Lil Nas X, to support their comeback album 2.0.

Don’t worry, Marv, I’m a couple of years younger and I can’t even make it to the end of a night without needing a sit down, never mind playing a headline set.

NEARLY LYNCHED

HARRY Potter star Evanna Lynch's boyfriend faced a Goblet of Ire after he bought her rude toys to spice up their sex life.

The actress the appropriately named Luna Lovegood in the wizarding movies, said she went on to dump the kinky props from her partner Robbie Jarvis.

Appearing on The Russel Howard Hour on Sky Max last night, shocked Evanna, from Termonfeckin in the Irish Republic, said: “I have a very Irish attitude to sex.

“My boyfriend bought me all these horrifying things, they frightened the bejesus out of me, so I confined them to a box that to me was a box of sin. I was living in LA and then I was going to move back to London.

“I kept having these nightmares that it would be going through customs and all these giant toys would be falling out.

"I got the box out one day, bleached everything – because I didn’t want to be linked to this box of sin – wrapped it up in a bag, drove to a dodgy neighbourhood in LA and threw it in a bin.”

JAY-Z BIN-STAGRAM

HE racked up almost two million followers in no time after joining Instagram and made history as the only person Beyonce has ever followed.

But just 24 hours after Jay-Z opened his first account on the photo-sharing app, he deleted it.

The rapper used his account to promote his new film, Netflix Western The Harder They Fall, which he helped produce.

I deleted my account after tiring of airheads and their endless discount codes for charcoal toothpaste. You’ve made the right decision, Jay.
