Jon Courtenay wins Britiain’s Got Talent 2020 after nail-biting final

Jon Courtenay has been crowned the winner of Britain's Got Talent 2020.

The fourteenth series of the ITV talent show ended with a bang tonight (October 10) as viewers picked Jon as the champion.

Sign With Us came second place and Steve Royle was voted in third place.

As well as bagging an eye-watering cash prize of £250,000, the act also won a spot on the bill at the Royal Variety Performance.

All ten acts pre-recorded their performances on Friday for safety reasons but the winner, who was chosen by the public, was announced live.

The five finalists chosen by the judges during the semi-final shows each took to the BGT stage this evening (October 10) as well as the five acts put through by the public vote across the series.

As well as Jon, variety act Steve Royle; dancing duo Aaron and Jasmine; magician Magical Bones and stand-up comedian Nabil Abdulrashid were picked to perform in the final by judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Ashley Banjo over the last five weeks.

The winners of the public vote were revealed tonight and James and Dylan Piper, Damien O'Brien, Sign Along With Us, Aidan McCann and Jasper Cherry all got the chance to perform for the nation.
