Katie Price's boyfriend Carl Woods' Instagram post banned after he failed to label it as an advertisement

KATIE Price's boyfriend Carl Woods has had Instagram posts banned after he failed to label them as advertisements.

Advertising watchdog the ASA said the posts by Carl, 31, for a clothing brand breached its code.

Carl, who is engaged to Katie, 43, wore a T-shirt emblazoned with Engage for free to help the "small, start-up brand", the label said.

There was no agreement with him, but his representatives were asked if he could wear some of the brand's t-shirts, Engage said.

Engage said it was unaware of requirements on the labelling of ads.

Carl's representatives told the ASA they didn't realise the posts had to be labelled, so the tag "paid partnership" wasn't included.

A story on Carl's Instagram page, seen on March 5, read: "Delighted to announced I have teamed up with @Engage_Clothing," with a thumbs up emoji.

Another post on March 31 featured Carl wearing a black T-shirt with the Engage branding on the front.

The post read: "My mates over @Engage_Clothing are dropping this COOL black signature tee tonight at 8pm!

"Click the link in my bio."

He added: "A new start up brand who are going to do really well! Drop them a follow please!"

The ASA said: "We understood that the branded T-shirts were not requested by Mr Woods from Engage.

"But they were sent to him following prior communication between them and his representatives, agreeing that if he liked the product he would wear it and post about it.

"We considered that the sending of T-shirts to Mr Woods as a gift constituted a payment to him.

"Because the posts were not obviously identifiable as marketing communications, we concluded that they breached the Code."

It comes after Katie finally divorced from ex-husband Kieran Hayler – three years after their bitter split.

She initially believed that all legal proceedings were finalised back in March, however, the decree absolute only came through last week.

This week, Katie gave fans a peek at the piles of rubbish and old furniture outside her Sussex mansion as she continues major renovation work.

Katie has created an Instagram page to document the transformation, and it often features lavish interior inspiration.
