Kelley Flanagan is looking forward to her next chapter following her split from Peter Weber last month.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Flanagan, 28, reflected on how she's been holding up since she and the former Bachelor called it quits, admitting she's had a "rough start" to the new year.
"2021 has been a rough start but if I've learned anything the last couple of days, it's to keep pushing through no matter what life throws at you," she wrote. "You can't help what happens but you can choose how you react. It's OK to not feel the best at times and honestly, it makes you appreciate the good things in life. The saying 'when it rains it's [sic] pours' has definitely hit me with adjustments but this is just a chapter of my life!"
Flanagan also revealed that she still plans to move to New York City in the coming months. (Flanagan and Weber, who dated for nearly a year, originally planned to relocate to the city and move in together.)
"I'll be in the Florida Keys until March then still making the move to New York!" she wrote. "I'm excited to share my next chapter with you guys and I'll try to be as open as I can knowing that I will hit struggles along the way."
"In the meantime, I am trying to figure out my future living situation in New York (searching for a roommate and apartment), spending time with my friends and family and focusing on my career!" she added.
Last week, Weber, 29, shared a video of himself packing up his apartment in California before making his own move to the Big Apple.
"It is officially moving day," he said in a video on his Instagram Story. "I've got all this stuff packed up right here ready to go. New York, we comin'!"
Weber announced on New Year's Eve that the couple had parted ways.
"While our relationship was filled with countless beautiful memories, our relationship simply didn't work out in the end," he wrote on Instagram. "Kelley is someone I will always have a special love for. Someone I have learned more from than she will ever understand. Someone I am so thankful came into my life and someone who I will always wish all of life's greatest blessings on."
Flanagan later addressed the split in her own post, saying the two are "in two different stages of our lives and saw our future paths differently."
"I wish Peter the absolute best and want to thank everyone for your continued support as I move on to my next chapter," she added.
Weber and Flanagan, who came in fifth on his season of The Bachelor, publicly confirmed their relationship in April 2020. They reconnected after his splits from winner Hannah Ann Sluss and runner-up Madison Prewett.
