The current series of Love Island might not be over until tonight, but viewers are already gearing up for the winter version which will air next year.
An announcement about the future of the hit ITV2 show was made last week, with it being confirmed that two series of the show will hit our screens in 2020.
Not much information about the next series have been announced up until now, with former winner Kem Cetinay letting slip some details.
Love Island 2019 stars are reunited as they party together before tonight's final
Kem appeared on This Morning on Monday, with Eamonn Holmes saying: “It’s going to be back in January as well.”
The 2017 victor then revealed the new series will be much shorter than the summer-consuming version we currently know and love.
He said: “Yeah there’s a winter one in January, four weeks but…”
Love Island is the most watched programme of the year for adults aged 16-34, across any channel.
The show has hit new heights in its fifth series this summer, breaking the six million viewers mark for the first time, in terms of four-screen consolidated viewing.
There have been over two billion impressions on Twitter so far this series, and the Love Island account has over three million Instagram followers.
In January Love Island will be back in an all new location, with the first series of the year bringing the sunshine to viewers at home from a brand new villa in South Africa.
The summer series will then return to Europe for a summer of love closer to home.
