Love Island fans have question the intentions of new bombshell Jamie Allen as it's revealed he knows three ex-islanders, one being 'Destiny's Chaldish' member Michael Griffiths.

The footballer had already hit headlines after it seemed he failed to let his club, Halifax Town FC, know of his next career move. The club tweeted: "Jamie Allen has decided to join the cast of Love Island 2022, making his intentions clear that the opportunity is very important to him."

"The matter will be reviewed on his return," they concluded.

A friend also labelled Jamie a "huge player," claiming he loved his life as an eligible bachelor who's "not looking to fall in love" and just "wants to be famous and be on TV."

Sources have now found he was socially connected to ex-islanders Michael Griffiths, Aaron Simpson and Dennon Lewis.

Micheal appeared in season five and was coupled with firecracker Amber Gill before dumping her for Joanna Chimonides in the shock Casa Amor recoupling. Dennon appeared in the same season for a short four days before being dumped.

Aaron Simpson appeared in season seven and was coupled up with model Mary Bedford before being dumped.

The source told The Sun: "Aaron and Jamie played at Dover but during separate seasons, and Dennon played in the same league a few years back so that's their connection."

“They definitely would have spoken about going on the show and how to play it,” the source revealed.

Jamie joined the show with three newcomers, Nathalia Campos, Reece Ford and Lacey Edwards, entering the villa late as bombshells and immediately shaking things up.

Jamie immediately set his sights on unlucky singleton Danica Taylor, choosing to take her out on a date.

In his intro VT, Jamie insisted the villa may be the place to find a genuine connection.

He said: "Now I am 27, I want to find someone, have a genuine connection and fall in love so Love Island is the perfect place for me to find that.”
