OUR Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen has revealed the mind-blowing side effect of having nine children.
The 46-year-old shepherdess has a large brood with husband Clive, 67, and takes giving birth in her stride now.
Her many labours have included giving birth in her car on the way to the hospital and welcoming one of her children by herself with the dog as a birthing partner.
However, one thing remains the same throughout all of her pregnancies; she doesn't have contractions.
Writing in her new book, The Yorkshire Shepherdess, Amanda said: "I just don't have contractions.
"The only way I know that I am in labour is because I start feeling a bit off, grotty, queasy, not quite right."
She added: "Because I spend my time calving cows and lambing sheep, it seemed to me that having a baby was going to be the most natural thing in the world.
"I am no earth mother, hippy type but I am a great believer in nature."
Amanda previously revealed all about giving birth alone during an interview on This Morning.
She said: "I put the kettle on, stoked up the fire and basically had her in front of the fire with just a terrier as a birthing partner, which is perfect."
She added that Clive wasn't too fussed about being at the birth as he had already been present for the previous seven labours.
She said: "The point of the matter is he had been at seven births previously and we spend our whole lives dealing with birthing things, so it wasn’t exactly something that I was particularly bothered about.
"I did it myself and I’m very happy and pleased that I did."
Our Yorkshire Farm airs on Channel 5.
