RYLAN Clark has dropped a huge hint he's on this year's enthralling The Masked Singer series.

The Radio 2 host, 33, teased he would be making a music return – but not as himself – as he appeared to hint at the plum telly role.

The Masked Singer sees famous faces go head to head to put on a standout music performance while their identities are kept a secret under some outrageous costumes.

This would explain the vagueness of the former X Factor star's comment, as he told The Mirror: “All I'll say to that is 'Rylan won't return to music…but someone else might' – that's all I'll say."

Confirming he would stay silent, he insisted: “That's all I'm going to say.”

ITV viewers had already suggested Rylan was Lionfish – yet Pop Idol winner Will Young was revealed to have been the face behind the mask.

Though some have also speculated Rylan is Poodle, with one taking to Twitter to flag: "Poodle sounds like Gary Barlow, but Rylan was in a Take That tribute band so …"

Another wrote: "Poodle … gave me Bill Nighy vibes to me… but also feel could be Rylan…," as one quizzed: "Is #poodle @Rylan or @CraigRevHorwood."

Meanwhile Rylan appears to be heading in the right direction after a recent tough time which saw him split from his husband.

He has replaced his signature £25K veneers with "smaller" teeth in an image overhaul.

It came after the Supermarket Sweep frontman exclusively told The Sun told how he was "dangerously thin and mentally unwell" following the break-up.

His weight plummeted to 9st 13lb — but thanks to overhauling his diet and exercise regime, he gained more than four stone, found therapy in exercise and felt confident posing topless for the first time.

The popular TV presenter, who is currently going through a divorce from his former policeman hubby of six years Dan Neal, vowed to get healthy after taking four months off work in the summer.

He said: “I got ill and I lost weight, I went down to under ten stone — and I’m six feet four inches, so that’s not good.

“The honest truth is that it’s been s**t.

“I didn’t deal with what happened and now I am. I felt unwell and it was a very difficult time for me.”
