The Chase fans were left devastated on Saturday during the ITV quiz show's celebrity special edition, as Anne Hegerty managed to snatch a whopping £90,000 from under the contestants' noses.
Celebrities including EastEnders star Perry Fenwick, comedian Jenny Eclair and TV presenters Ore Oduba and Richard Madeley teamed up to compete for a prize-pot to dedicate to their chosen charities.
Everyone bar Jenny made it back to the bench for the Final Chase, with the incredible £90k to play for.
It came after TV personality Richard Madeley managed to scoop an incredible £76,000.
And though they did get a few chances to push back against The Governess's impressive wit, they couldn't get enough right to scoop a win after being stumped on a Kardashian-related question.
The contestants were asked "Who is the second oldest Kardashian?" and answered Kourtney rather than Kim.
And with just three seconds remaining on her clock, The Governess managed to scrape a win.
Things were tense in the studio as host Bradley Walsh asked Anne: "Parsnips Buttered is the debut book by which comedian?" – and she passed, despite only having 11 seconds remaining on her clock.
The question, which would have afforded the quizzers the golden opportunity to beat her out for a share of the prize-pot, had the celebs just as stumped, and they guessed Paul O'Grady – incorrectly.
The answer, unfortunately, was Joe Lycett.
And with one final question about the Gunpowder Plot, Anne managed to pull things back from the edge and stormed to victory just in time.
Fans were left devastated by the loss, and took to social media to share their upset, with one commenting: "Why couldn't she just let them win? It's for charity!"
Anne congratulated the players: "Very well done, guys."
But the celebs did score £1,000 each for their charities, as Bradley said: "We can't let you go home empty handed."
Things had taken a rather flirty turn between Anne and Strictly Come Dancing star Ore Oduba, as Anne cheekily offered to teach him some quizzing skills in exchange for dancing lessons.
"I'm free after the show!" Anne cheekily suggested.
Ore was having none of it, as he protested: "I'm married, Anne!"
And EastEnders star Perry had Bradley's jaw hitting the floor after he got one question related to Greek mythology correct.
He was asked: "Which figure in Greek mythology killed Medusa by cutting off her head?"
And Perry quickly answered: "Perseus!"

Bradley couldn't contain his shock at the correct response to the incredibly tricky question, as he gaped open-mouthed at his pal.
"In every quiz I do, if there's a question on Greek mythology I always say Perseus!" Perry explained through the giggles afterwards.
Jenny joked with him: "Go for the higher offer, and if there's an answer of Perseus you'll be all right!"
