While American Horror Story fans wait for the season 10 premiere, it’s finally time to watch the AHS spinoff, American Horror Stories. The new anthology series has garnered plenty of buzz within the fandom. But the schedule may take some getting used to. So what time does American Horror Stories come out on FX on Hulu? Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming episodes for season 1.
What is ‘American Horror Stories’ about?
Many American Horror Story fans have been wondering how the new AHS spinoff differs from the original series. But it seems there’s merely a change in the format of the two shows.
FX’s American Horror Story typically focuses on one story throughout the whole season. However, FX on Hulu’s American Horror Stories is about one story per episode.
“It’s the AHS spinoff. We are doing 16 one hour stand alone episodes delving into horror myths, legends and lore,” creator Ryan Murphy explained on Twitter.
Murphy also hinted that the American Horror Stories cast will include “stars you know and love.” For now, viewers will have to wait and see which actors show up. But the first two episodes of the AHS spinoff will include Matt Bomer, Gavin Creel, Sierra McCormick, Belissa Escobedo, Paris Jackson, Kaia Gerber, Aaron Tveit, Merrin Dungey, Ashley Martin Carter, Selena Sloan, and Valerie Loo.
What time will ‘American Horror Stories’ be released on FX on Hulu tonight?
American Horror Stories will not receive the same time slot as American Horror Story on FX. The AHS spinoff series will be released on FX on Hulu, which means the show will be available to watch exclusively on the streaming platform.
Now, the first two episodes of American Horror Stories Season 1, “Rubber(wo)Man” and “Rubber(wo)Man Part Two,” will be released on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 12:01 a.m. ET. So if you live on the West Coast, you can technically watch the new season starting at 9:01 p.m. PT on Wednesday, July 14.
Meanwhile, American Horror Stories Season 1 will include 16 episodes total, according to Murphy. New episodes will also air weekly at the same time.
When will ‘American Horror Story’ Season 10 come out?
Although American Horror Stories Season 1 is coming out soon, make sure to set aside some time for AHS Season 10 in a few weeks. The new cycle, American Horror Story: Double Feature, will start on Wednesday, Aug. 25. The series will also continue to air on FX.
Meanwhile, Murphy confirmed fans will technically receive two seasons of AHS within one calendar year.
“Double the viewing pleasure,” Murphy wrote on Instagram in March 2021. “One set by the sea (this cast already announced). A second by the sand (that cast announcement coming).”
There are also multiple fan-favorite cast members returning for American Horror Story Season 10. So clearly, we’re in for quite a ride. Get ready.
American Horror Stories Season 1 airs Thursdays on FX on Hulu. American Horror Story Season 10 drops Aug. 25 on FX.
