Things with Jimmy (played by Jefferson White) and barrel racer Mia (Eden Brolin) have officially come to an end, and the young ranch hand has embarked on a new life outside of the Yellowstone. With just three episodes left of the popular Paramount drama, how long will his new relationship with potential love interest Emily (Kathryn Kelly) continue?
The fourth season of the Western drama has recently introduced rival Four Sixes ranch ahead of the upcoming spin-off set around the new cast of cowboys.
Ex-Yellowstone hand Jimmy could be along for the ride, and he’s already set eyes on someone who could persuade him to leave the mainline series for good.
Season four, episode seven, Keep the Wolves Close, introduced Emily to the doe-eyed rancher, and Jimmy was clearly head over heels.
Emily is a veterinary technician for 6666, and has the messy job of collecting horse semen for the ranch’s research lab.
She was immediately taken to Jimmy and asked him out to dinner, though admitted it may be because he’s one of about six single men under 30 in the county.
Still, Yellowstone star Jefferson wasn’t spared from the inevitable teasing from his co-stars Denim Richards and Ian Bohen.
Ian asked: “Would you share with the table what it’s like to be a Casanova? How to talk to women?”
Jefferson admitted: “I don’t know why Jimmy is such a successful dater.
“This is Jimmy’s third girlfriend. Third girlfriend in three seasons. But none of them last long!”
The actor’s comment suggested Emily may well go the way of his previous relationship with Mia by the end of season four.
Unfortunately, Jimmy wasn’t able to give a straight answer to Emily as he’s still unsure where he stands with the barrel racer.
Jimmy’s hesitancy could prove to be the downfall for their relationship, and his flirtation with Emily may just be a short fling before he makes his way back to Mia.
“What is it about me that women find so irresistible?” he teased his co-stars.
His friend Denim tried to weigh in, suggesting: “I mean, clearly it has to be your, um…”
Denim pondered for some moments as Jefferson smouldered from across the table.

“The… his….,” he stumbled as his co-star continued to pose. “Because he has so many…”
“The way that he does the stuff,” he finally concluded. “There’s something about Jimmy that’s endearing.”
Ian agreed and added: “It’s so endearing, and it’s like a tractor-beam.”
“I’ll jinx it,” Jefferson admitted, though his bunkhouse colleagues weren’t so sure.
“Oh no, no,” Ian interjected. “I want it to keep going on for as long as the show happens. Take ‘em all my friend!”
Denim’s character Colby still shares a romantic bond with the rambunctious female ranch hand Teeter (Jen Landon), who was thankfully welcomed back on the ranch after a misunderstanding.
However, Jimmy’s romantic history is far less consistent, and Emily’s addition to the cast could just be building up to more heartbreak to cap off his journey in season four.
Yellowstone season four continues Sundays on Paramount.
