AN AMAZON worker has died following an incident at the company's warehouse in Swansea.

The man was on a shift at the Ffordd Amazon site off Fabian Way in Swansea, Wales on September 20.

He was rushed to Morriston Hospital but later died.

The retail giant says it plans to conduct a "thorough investigation" into the incident, which saw two ambulances attend the scene.

A spokesman for Amazon said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with our employee’s family and friends at this sad time.

"We’re providing support to his colleagues at the site and also conducting a thorough investigation.”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman added: “We were called on September 20 at 11.39pm to reports of an incident at Ffordd Amazon, Swansea.

"We sent two emergency ambulances and one Cymru high-acuity response unit paramedic to the scene.

"One person was taken to Morriston Hospital for further treatment.”
