Las Vegas news anchor Feven Kay arrested after cops 'found her naked and asleep in her car'

A LAS Vegas news anchor was arrested after being found passed out behind the wheel of her car – totally naked and reeking of booze, police say.

Fox 5 weekday morning host Feven Kay told cops she had no idea how she got there after officers busted her asleep in her Audi in the nude early one morning in Nevada.

The disgraced reporter, also known as Feven Kiflegiorgis, was taken off air after being caught out by police at about 7.30am on March 20 in the travel lane on Matthew Avenue.

She told officers she couldn't remember how she ended up in the location as she stumbled out of the car, reports Review-Journal.

Cops reported a distinct smell of alcohol coming from her but she declined to submit her blood, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Feven returned to the channel last week to address the situation and thank viewers for their "support".

“Many of you have noticed I’ve been off air for a few weeks," she said in a statement aired on Fox 5 last week.

"To all of you who have reached out, a sincere thank you for your concern."

Feven, who grew up in California, told viewers she was "dealing with a private matter" but wanted to take the opportunity "to be transparent."

"Last month I was arrested, by Metro, for driving under the influence," she continued.

"At the time of the arrest, I was inside of a parking vehicle in a Las Vegas neighborhood alone."

Feven was slapped with a reckless driving charge with a disregard for the safety of a person or property in the incident by cops.

"That charge has since been reduced to misdemeanor reckless driving," Feven said.

She was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine on April 21 as a result, and told to attend driving classes.

Feven added: "As I move forward, I want you to know I have learned from this and I will continue learning, and I truly thank you for your support."

The news anchor has been employed by Fox News since November 2018, according to her LinkedIn page.

Feven, who was born in East Africa, studied journalism at California State University, before bagging a job at KTLA in LA.

Her bio on the Fox 5 website reads: "Outside of work Feven enjoys traveling, attending concerts, spending time with family and friends, and doing anything that involves laughing until her stomach hurts."
