A joiner who won £58 million on the Lottery took his friends for a booze-fuelled lads holiday in Dubai.
Ryan Hoyle, 38, and seven fellow tradesmen flew to the United Arab Emirates city where they stayed at a five-star penthouse and drank £1,700 bottles of champagne on a trip where ‘no expense was spared’ for their enjoyment.
Mr Hoyle, of Rochdale, won £58,366,487 on the EuroMillions draw in April 2020, but could not properly celebrate due to the coronavirus pandemic, The Sun reports.
He said: ‘I’ve known all the lads for around 20 years and wanted to treat them to a trip they’d never forget.’

The group of friends flew out in economy class due to no other seats being available, but they enjoyed first-class return flights worth £6,000 per person
Mr Hoyle spent roughly £20,000 at the Five Jumeirah Village Hotel for two top floor penthouses with a private terrace, enjoying six-litre bottles of Laurent Perrier champagne and £1,700 six-litre bottles of Ciroc vodka.
Peter Garry, a friend of Mr Hoyle for 20 years, said he and the group never expected Mr Hoyle to be so generous, providing them with the ‘best week of [their] lives’.
Mr Garry said: ‘He’s the best friend anyone could have. There’s never been anything flash about him and the win hasn’t changed him a bit – he’s still the same great guy.’
He added: ‘I’m used to lager and burgers at stag dos with the lads in Spain but there was absolutely no expense spared in Dubai.

Mr Hoyle’s friends drank from huge magnums of champagne, drinking expensive vodka on their top-floor penthouse without having to pay for a thing.
The lottery winner is father to an 11-year-old daughter, who he plans to treat with a trip to Disneyland, Florida once the coronavirus crisis eases.
Mr Hoyle’s band of friends flew out in economy class due to no other seats being available, but they enjoyed first-class return flights worth £6,000 per person.
Passengers were treated to full-size beds, individual cabins with plasma screens and ‘amazing service’, Mr Garry said.
