Police and coastguard in frantic hunt for boy, 17, last seen snorkelling in Dorset – The Sun

POLICE have launched a frantic search for a 17-year-old boy who vanished while snorkelling in Dorset.

Oscar Montgomery was last seen diving off the coast of Church Ope Cove, a small sheltered beach on the Isle of Portland, at around 5pm yesterday.

Dorset Police have been carrying out a huge search for the teen alongside the coastguard, RNLI, Dorset Search and Rescue and the NPAS helicopter.

Oscar has been described as white, of a slim muscular build with brown hair and a slit in his eyebrow. He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured wetsuit with black flippers and a black snorkel.

Chief Inspector Lance Cliff, of Dorset Police, said: “We are extremely concerned for Oscar and I am appealing to anyone who may have knowledge as to his whereabouts to please contact police immediately.

“I would be keen to hear from anyone who was out in the water in the area and recalls seeing a diver matching the description given and may have information that could help us find Oscar.”
