Two police officers 'brutally stabbed and rushed to hospital after sickening attack' in quiet Devon village

TWO police officers have reportedly been stabbed while on duty in a sleepy Devon village.

The cops are understood to have been knifed in Princetown, in the middle of the Dartmoor national park, at around 4am.

Cops haven't released an official statement yet but a police source told DevonLive their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The officers are receiving treatment in hospital and it is not clear if there have been any arrests.

Police could be seen on the street today combing for clues.

It is understood detectives from the force's Major Crime Investigation Team are involved.

The Sun Online has contacted Devon and Cornwall Police for comment.
